The "Greening Hong Kong" Joint Pictorial
Display at Government House, presented by "Green Fun",
was successfully held in Government House during the two weekends
of March 9th -10th and 16th -17th, 2002. Over 20,000 citizens had
visited the Government House during the four days to see the blooming
Azaleas in the gardens and the mini-display in the Ball Room.
With the technical support of the Hong Kong Airport
Authority, the Green Fun Committee set up a total of 15 display
panels in the Ball Room of Government House to show greening activities
in Hong Kong. The texts and photos were provided by various Government
departments and non-governmental organizations concerned, including
the Green Fun Committee, Hong Kong Tree Planting Day Executive Committee,
Home Affairs Department, Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation
Department, Leisure & Cultural services department, Hong Kong
Housing Authority, Kadoorie Farm & Botanic Garden, Hong Kong
Institute of Landscape Architects, Hong Kong Institute of Planners
and the Hong Kong International Airport.
Citizens who missed the opportunity to see the
display at Government House may now view the display panels here.
